Colourful, quirky and most of all, fun! Irrespective of the weather outside, Hostel Momotown will put a smile on your face from the moment you walk in the door. Its bright walls are ingeniously decorated with cartoon style drawings, giving the place a real lift and a sense of originality.

In the downstairs area there are two computers that provide free internet access, table football and two comfy sofas. To this, add some music coming out of whatever soundtrack has been selected that day and you have the makings of an ideal place to relax and meet people.

Very usefully, the hostel provides lots of information on tours and a written guide as to what is in the local vicinity. A nice touch is the hostel’s very own film guide to go along with Momotown’s DVD library. The films are free to watch and may come in useful after a visitor has indulged in one of the hostels many parties…

During the summer months the hostel regularly organises barbecues and karaoke nights (all year round), perfect if you are looking to make friends during your stay in Krakow.

Breakfast comes included in the price (8 am – 12 noon); the owner is convinced that the bread that comes from his specially chosen bakery is the best in town. This may or may not be true, but if you are looking to cut down on costs and eat in, there’s a 24 hour corner shop literally just over the road from the hostel. The kitchen area is clean and tidy and like the rest of the hostel, stylishly decorated.

Incidentally, if you would like a private room with en-suite facilities, the owners of the hostel have two rooms on Szeroka street, about 2 minutes away from the main hostel site.

Well thought out in terms of design, the hostel offers the independent traveller a clean and budget friendly option in Krakow’s Kazimerz.
