Situated just off Plac Nowy and opposite Singer, Nova combines contemporary cooking with a lounge bar setting, something that has made it popular since its opening.

Suitable for either a quick coffee, or something stronger – cocktails are a speciality here, Nova, the bar, is the exact opposite of “old style” Kazimierz. Instead of wooden chairs there are comfy sofas, plasma TV screens and art work hanging from the walls. The outside terrace and garden are particularly popular, whatever the time of day.

Nova may well be the largest restaurant in Kazimierz, something to bear in mind if you are hungry and can’t get a place to eat. In the words of Nova, the food is described as “fusion”, a mix and match of styles, you may wish to try marinated tuna with cactus for example. There are also pasta, poultry, meat and vegetarian dishes.

For a quicker option, or just something less fancy, there’s also a sandwich/bar menu available - French fries, burgers, chicken wings, toasted sandwiches and the like. The restaurant opens at 10am and serves food until 7pm. (Breakfast is served from 10am until 12pm). Full details of their menu can be found on their website.
