Established in 1995, the Arka Noego restaurant offers a great combination of Jewish style food, a picture postcard interior and good music.
The restaurant offers a wide range of choice, in addition to Jewish style food, you can order chicken cholent for example, the restaurant also offers food from the Malopolska region of Poland, we would particularly recommend you try the duck with apples.
Decorated in period fashion, the restaurant's interior is a throwback to a typical Kazimierz room that could be found in pre-war Cracow. The restaurant's owner used a series of historical photographs so as to ensure an accurate representation from this period. The restaurant is full of nice touches, handmade embroidered tablecloths, candlelit tables and pictures and paintings on the walls.
The restaurant regularly plays host to Jewish music, during the summer you'll get to hear a concert everyday of the week, outside of the tourist season live concerts are held on Friday and Saturday or at the request of restaurant guests who have contacted the restaurant in advance.
If you're not able to listen to a live concert, the restaurant always has some form of Jewish music playing in the background; it's far from irritating and suits the restaurant perfectly. For those who'd like to take a permanent souvenir of their musical adventures home, the restaurant stocks a range of CDs featuring a variety of Jewish music.
During summer visitors can take full of advantage of the restaurant's two summer gardens, the more secluded version that can be found backing onto ul.Miodowa, and the other on ul.Szeroka, complete with views of the historical buildings that can be found here, the Remuh Synagogue is situated not more than 10 metres from the Arka Noego restaurant.
